These trees have a very fragrant lemony-mint or citrus-like aroma, and hold their needles very well.  Shaping the tree helps develop tougher branches, and make this a great choice for light to medium weight ornaments.

Leyland Cypress
Leyland Cypress

As long as you keep them watered, they will retain their needles very well. They have very little scent and are great for lighter weight ornaments.

Fraser Fir
Fraser Fir

Fraser firs grow in higher elevations. They have short needles and sturdy branches for hanging heavier ornaments. Firs are precut and placed in water to retain freshness when they arrive at our farm.

Why are real trees and decorations a better choice than artificial ones?

Real trees are 100% biodegradable. You have the smell of Christmas with a real tree. You get the experience of checking out many different trees to choose the “Just Right” tree rather than going to the department store and bringing it home in a box. While the artificial tree collects dust in the closet or attic, the birds build nest and raise their young in the boughs of the growing trees while the rabbits and squirrels run and play around them.

Newberry Arts Center

​The Newberry Arts Center was established in 2014 and is a division of the City’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department. In less than a year a solid arts program was established that includes programs for all ages.

The mission of the Newberry Arts Center (NAC) and Newberry Arts Program is to provide quality educational arts experiences to all interested citizens and increase support for working artists while creating appreciative current and future art patrons by involving the diverse population and fostering local economic growth while enhancing the quality of life for all residents. The NAC also established and hosted the first ever South Carolina Clay Conference, an annual conference for clay enthusiasts held in Newberry each year.
